DESCRIPTION:Residents are advised that the Chester County Velo Bike Race will take place on Sunday\, May 17\, 2026\, with cyclists traveling on neighborhood roads in and around Pocopson Park throughout the day. \nRace Details\n\nRace Course: A 2.5‑mile loop starting and ending at Pocopson Park\, traveling:\n\nNorth on Locust Grove Road\nRight on South Wawaset Road\nRight on Corinne Road\nRight on Locust Grove Road back to the park\n\n\nRace Times: Multiple races will occur between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM\nSet‑Up Begins: 7:00 AM at Pocopson Park\n\nTraffic & Safety Information\n\nRoads will remain open to traffic\, but drivers should expect frequent cyclist activity.\nThe race will operate as a “rolling closure\,” meaning a pace car will lead groups of up to 50 cyclists\, followed by a trailing vehicle.\nPlease use extreme caution when entering roadways or leaving driveways.\n\nIf you see the pace car with flashing lights\, wait until the racers have passed.\nSlower cyclists may be on the course outside of the main race group.\n\n\nTraffic marshals and signage will be present at intersections to assist with safety.\n\nMotorists should anticipate more cyclists than usual on these roads throughout the day and are asked to drive carefully and patiently. \nQuestions?\nFor additional information\, please contact Scott Gamble\, Chester County Velo at wsgamble@gmail.com or Neil D.
