World of Jazz Exhibit at the Kennett Library

April 4 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The World of Jazz

Celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month at the Kennett Library’s April art show, showcasing the remarkable talent of Jazz Trumpeter Al Moretti.

Chris Manna, Executive Director of Kennett Library, said, “Libraries have a long history of providing a platform of expression through the written word. Our new library now offers a visual platform. Hosting Al Moretti’s exhibit is a testament to the beauty of visual expression on our art gallery wall.”

Immerse yourself in a visual feast of original artwork depicting iconic Jazz legends such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Jaco Pastorius, Milton Nascimento, Esperanza Spaulding, Maynard Ferguson, Art Tatum, Pat Martino, Cootie Williams, and Ira Sullivan.

Moretti’s paintings intricately capture the soul and essence of these musical pioneers, bringing their contributions to life on canvas. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to witness the intersection of visual and auditory brilliance in the World of Jazz at the Kennett Library this April.

Join us for the opening, with an artist talk and musical performance by Al Moretti on April 4th from 5 pm-7 pm in the Art Gallery. Light refreshments will be provided.
