East Penn Railroad to Close Route 842 (Unionville Wawaset Road) for Rail Improvements in Pocopson Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that East Penn Railroad will be performing rail improvements on Route 842 (Unionville Wawaset Road) in Pocopson Township, Chester County, beginning Friday, July 12.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

  1. From 6:00 PM Friday, July 12, to 12:00 PM Monday, July 15, Route 842 (Unionville Wawaset Road) is scheduled to be closed and detoured between Davidson Road and Route 842 (Bridge Road). During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 842 (Unionville Wawaset Road), Route 82 (Doe Run Road), Route 82 (Unionville Road), Route 926 (Street Road), Route 52 (Lenape Road), Creek Road, and Route 842 (Bridge Road).

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
