CC Velo Bike Race

Residents are advised that the Chester County Velo Bike Race will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, with cyclists traveling on neighborhood roads in and around Pocopson Park throughout the day.
Race Details
- Race Course: A 2.5‑mile loop starting and ending at Pocopson Park, traveling:
- North on Locust Grove Road
- Right on South Wawaset Road
- Right on Corinne Road
- Right on Locust Grove Road back to the park
- Race Times: Multiple races will occur between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM
- Set‑Up Begins: 7:00 AM at Pocopson Park
Traffic & Safety Information
- Roads will remain open to traffic, but drivers should expect frequent cyclist activity.
- The race will operate as a “rolling closure,” meaning a pace car will lead groups of up to 50 cyclists, followed by a trailing vehicle.
- Please use extreme caution when entering roadways or leaving driveways.
- If you see the pace car with flashing lights, wait until the racers have passed.
- Slower cyclists may be on the course outside of the main race group.
- Traffic marshals and signage will be present at intersections to assist with safety.
Motorists should anticipate more cyclists than usual on these roads throughout the day and are asked to drive carefully and patiently.
