Founders Day 2025: A Joyful Celebration of Community and Tradition
This year’s Founders Day was a resounding success, bringing together neighbors, families, and friends for a day of fun, food, and festivities under clear blue skies and warm sunshine. Set against our town’s charming country backdrop, the event captured the spirit of community and the joy of shared traditions.
From the moment the festivities began, the energy was contagious. Children laughed as they enjoyed pony rides and face painting, while adults cheered on contestants in the always-entertaining doughnut eating contest and the impressively competitive apple peeling contest. One of the day’s most beloved highlights was the dog costume contest, where our four-legged friends strutted their stuff in everything from parochial capes to fairy wings—earning plenty of applause and tail wags.
The delicious aroma of local cuisine filled the air thanks to a fantastic lineup of food trucks, offering everything from savory street eats to sweet treats. The Rolling Doubles took to the stage and filled the afternoon with great music that had everyone tapping their feet and singing along.
Community members were quick to share their appreciation. One attendee wrote,
“I just wanted to reach out and say thank you. This was the first year that we came out to Founder’s Day and it was a really nice event. My kids had a great time. We will definitely attend next year.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers, and local businesses who made this day possible. Your generous raffle item donations and support helped create a memorable experience for all.
Here’s to another wonderful Founders Day—and to many more to come!
