The Township Board of Supervisors is seeking candidates to fill a vacant supervisor position on the Board following the resignation of Ricki Stumpo. The Board formally accepted Ricki’s resignation at its public meeting on February 26, 2026. Ricki, who served as a Supervisor for fifteen years, resigned due to medical reasons. We thank her for her many years of service to Pocopson Township.

Under state law, the Board must appoint a replacement supervisor within 30 days. The Board will interview and hear statements from interested candidates at its March 23, 2026, Board of Supervisors meeting at the Township Building, 664 South Wawaset Road, West Chester, PA 19382, which begins at 6:30 p.m., and intends to select a candidate for appointment at that meeting. The successful candidate will begin serving shortly after the meeting, once the appropriate processes have been completed, and will continue in the role through January 3, 2028.

To be eligible to serve as a Supervisor, candidates must be at least 18 years old, have been a Township resident for a minimum of one year, and be a registered voter in Pocopson Township. All interested and qualified candidates must submit a letter of interest and completed application questionnaire, to Neil D. Vaughn, Township Manager, at nvaughn@pocopson.org no later than Monday, March 16, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
