Pocopson Township is seeking a dedicated resident to serve as its representative on the West Chester Library Board of Trustees. This is a valuable opportunity to support your local library and contribute to its continued growth and success.

Board members are expected to attend monthly meetings, which take place on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the West Chester Library. In addition to active participation in board meetings, members are encouraged to serve on at least two committees—such as Finance, Development, Building, or other key strategic areas—where their skills and insights can help guide the library’s ongoing success.

The Board of Trustees values diversity in all its forms, including lived experience, professional background, and cultural perspective. They are committed to building a board that reflects the vibrant and varied community we serve. Currently, they are especially interested in individuals with expertise in Human Resources and Organizational Development, Marketing and Communications, and Board-level Fundraising and Development. These skills will help strengthen the Board’s capacity to support staff, broaden community engagement, and secure the resources needed to sustain and grow library services.

Interested residents should submit a letter of interest and a resume or CV to Township Manager Neil D. Vaughn at nvaughn@pocopson.org or call 484-607-8137 for additional information.
