NOTICE is hereby given that on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., prevailing time, at the Pocopson Township Building located at 664 South Wawaset Road, West Chester, PA 19382, the Pocopson Township Board of Supervisors will conduct public hearing to consider and immediately thereafter during its regular meeting decide whether to enact the following Ordinance: 1) AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO AN INTER-MUNICIPAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIPS OF EAST MARLBOROUGH, KENNETT, NEWLIN, PENNSBURY, AND POCOPSON, CHESTER COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF FACILITATING THE REENTRY OF THE BOROUGH OF KENNETT SQUARE INTO THE KENNETT FIRE AND EMS REGIONAL COMMISSION AND TO MAKE OTHER AMENDMENTS TO THE EXISTING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MUNICIPALITIES, AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS SET FORTH HEREIN. Section 1 authorizes the Township to enter into the first amendment. Section 2 authorizes certain Township positions to execute the first amendment and take other related actions. Section 3 ratifies prior actions taken regarding the first amendment. Section 4 authorizes the Township to take necessary acts to carry out the ordinance. Section 5 addresses requirements under the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Act. Section 6 addresses immunities. Section 7 provides for repealer. Section 8 provides for severability. Section 9 provides for an effective date.
