The Township has received inquiries regarding the lengthy delays caused by trains crossing Street Road. These trains are freight trains and do not operate on a regular schedule. The rail line runs just north of the crossing and is used to move freight along the route.
Please note that the Township has no oversight of the railroad company, as rail operations are governed by federal regulations. We recognize the frustration these delays cause and appreciate your patience during these occurrences.
