This afternoon, an inmate attempted to escape from the Chester County Prison. He was quickly apprehended due to a combination of security features and prison staff. All inmates are accounted for and there is no threat to the community. This is an active criminal investigation led by the Chester County Detectives in full cooperation with the Chester County Prison staff. Further updates will be provided in the future.
