Following last evening’s storm, our Public Works Department has been working to clear Township roadways and make them as accessible as possible. However, numerous road closures remain in place at this time. Please use caution when traveling on roadways throughout the Township.

For trees entangled in utility wires, Township crews will open the roadway as much as possible, but PECO must complete the final removal of the debris from the wires.

The traffic signal at the intersection of Route 52 and Pocopson Road is currently not functioning. Temporary stop signs have been installed at the intersection. Please use extra caution when traveling through this area.

As a reminder, the following roads are state-owned and are the responsibility of PennDOT to clear:

  • Route 52
  • Route 926
  • Route 842
  • Pocopson Road
  • Lenape Unionville Road
  • Red Lion Road
  • Northbrook Road
  • Wawaset Road (North and South)

To report a power outage, please contact PECO at 800-841-4141. You may also visit PECO’s website to report an outage and receive updates on restoration efforts.

If you need to charge electronic devices or cool down for a short period, the Township Building is available during normal business hours.

If you have any questions or unmet needs related to the storm, please contact Township Manager Neil D. Vaughn at nvaughn@pocopson.org or by calling 610-793-2151.
