The Pocopson Township Board of Supervisors regrets to inform you that our Township Manager, Neil D. Vaughn, has tendered his resignation effective December 4, 2026.
Neil has been offered an excellent opportunity as Township Manager at Middletown Township in Delaware County. He has been a wonderful asset to the Township. Under Neil’s management, the Township has experienced organizational excellence and efficiencies that will benefit all of us who live in Pocopson for many years to come. The Board, staff and residents will miss him greatly. We are very supportive of this new opportunity for him to further his career.
The Board of Supervisors has contracted with the Meyner Center for the Study of State and Local Government to immediately begin the search and recruitment process for Neil’s successor. The Township worked with this organization in 2024 with great results. While this search is underway, we will put in place a temporary management scenario to support the Township until a new manager is onboard.
Thanks to Neil’s contribution over the past two years, the Township is operating smoothly. And with our excellent staff, we will focus on ensuring a successful transition to a new manager.
In the meantime, we ask for your patience during this interim period. The Board of Supervisors and Township Staff are available to answer any questions you may have, so please do reach out to us.
